Nutrition can be an all-encompassing word. What my intentions (in a nutshell) with nutrition is:
Food Intake
- Eat live foods: fruits and vegetables
- Eat protein: organic, grass-fed, or fresh caught, if available
- DO NOT eat, or eat less, SUGAR: sweets, grains, breads and noodles
- This is your brain on sugar
- The Nutritional Healing Center (Ann Arbor) blog about sugar
- Become aware of how dairy effects your body and mind... does it:
- make you mucousy? (i.e. runny nose, loose cough, sinuses, etc.)
- make digestion difficult? (i.e. bloating, constipation, diarrhea, etc.)
- make your brain sluggish?
Supplements
You might say, well I take my daily vitamin from GNC or the health food store, isn't that a good brand and enough It may be, but more than likely, no. Why not find out for sure? Through Nutritional Response TestingSM (like muscle testing) the practitioner can non-invasively test your body to see what nutrients (or supplements) it needs to give you the appropriate whole-food supplement to heal or remain healthy. Your body will likely heal in a domino effect, for example, a skin rash may be a result of the liver needing more nutrients. Give the liver what it needs, skin is healed. Can be as simple as that or in other cases, it may be slightly more complex, but at the end, the skin is healed.
Water
A critical component to our health is water. Water is water; not dyes or sugars you put into your cup to make the water look or taste "better." The human body is made up of 75% water. We need water to live well. Learn how water can change your life!
"We have drifted into this deplorable position of national malnutrition quite inadvertently. It is the result of scientific research with the objective of finding the best ways to create foods that are non-perishable that can be made by mass production methods in central factories, and distributed so cheaply that they can sweep all local competition from the market. Then, after there develops a suspicion that these “foods” are inadequate to support life, modern advertising steps in to propagandize the people into believing that there is nothing wrong with them, that they are products of scientific research intended to afford a food that is the last word in nutritive value,… and the confused public is totally unable to arrive at any conclusion of fact, and continues to blindly buy the rubbish that is killing them off years ahead of their time."
