Typically moms are ready between 6-12 weeks post delivering their baby. (General rule of thumb: vaginal birth will take about 4-6 weeks; c-section will take about 6-12 weeks to recover enough to attend.) Every woman heals differently. Once you and baby feel ready or you have received the okay from your healthcare provider, then come on in!
My goal is for every new mother who takes my class to feel empowered with their choices when it comes to pregnancy, birthing, and on into motherhood as she cares for her newborn.
"I actually remembered something Elise said which helped me deliver, I encountered some difficulty at the end while pushing then I remembered Elise saying remember to relax and relieve some tension while in labor as soon as I recalled that I was able to deliver my son out in a few pushes."
The yoga industry has quickly become saturated with new yoga teachers, Insta-Yogi's, and know-it-all's. As a whole this is not a bad thing. Concern arises when students put all their faith and ability into one teacher... and don't know anything about that teacher - especially their yogic background...
I'm a RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) and RYT 500 (Registered Yoga Teacher) rooted in the Hatha tradition, and the Samkhya philosophy; however I attend a
variety of classes, like Kundalini. I’m living my dharma (purpose) by creating a community to assist
women during the rite of passage into motherhood through the mental, emotional, physical and
spiritual qualities of the yoga practice.
In addition to yoga, I'm a mom of two beautiful children and have many interests including Feng Shui, Reiki, alternative healing methods,
harnessing my intuition and whatever else inspires me along the way!
