Health & Nutrition
The words health and nutrition go hand-in-hand. It's impossible to be healthy without proper nutrition. Without a doubt it was proved in the film documentary, Super Size Me (2004.)
Along with nutrition, there are three more key ingredients to health:
- Meditation / Prayer
- Movement / Exercise
- Preventative Care
Yes, it does seem like a lot to think about! Maybe even intimidating! Don't fret, it's an over-view picture. To gain control of your well-being starts with baby steps - literally! One change or addition to your daily life at a time. No rush, this is your health. Like the game of golf, you're ultimately playing against yourself; so is living well. If you "cheat," you're cheating yourself. Be honest and open to what may be easier to implement first, and what may take more practice.
Saving the children of the next generation is critical to everyone's future and it begins with the above. Having children with powerful immune systems and strong minds starts with us, the adults. There's a quote in the movie A Place at the Table that says something like: people [our children] are living sicker and dying younger. A true, disturbing observation. Let's change that.
Once you are taking care of your health, then you will be working towards, or have reached, a state of well-being... a place where you are in tune with how your body feels: acutely aware of what serves you well or makes you ill. It's a wonderful place to arrive at, because it is a place where you have the power to control your health and happiness.
